Infineon’s wide area lighting solution covers worldwide AC line voltage converting it to low cost, multi-string, constant-current control by using efficient, low component count, linear devices. Using Infineon’s world-leading CoolMOS™ HV MOSFETs, PFC Power ICs, and innovative LV LED control devices to deliver an overall efficiency of 85 percent or greater, this design provides an ideal alternative to costly “black box” constant-current drivers.

TDA 4863—Discontinuous Power Factor Correction IC
The TDA 4863 IC controls the AC-DC conversion to maintain a high power factor.

TLE 4305—Current and Voltage Controller
The TLE 4305G is designed to control the output voltage and output current of a switch-mode power supply as well as to set the output voltage of the AC/DC converter.
