At first glance, it seems as though all the device data an engineer could need to develop an application is on manufacturer web sites. But web sites can vary dramatically, and the real challenge is in finding the information, collating, and comparing it quickly—tasks that are impractical, if not impossible, if you are attempting to simultaneously compare the information on a dozen different and dissimilar manufacturer sites.
