Cree understands the importance of uniform color and brightness in white and color LEDs, and practices precise binning processes that ensure the quality of your end product.

For some applications, matching the exact chromaticity and flux of white is not as critical as when a string of several High Power LEDs is hung to produce a light wash on a white wall. For an application such as this, it's imperative for all the LEDs to match closely. To deliver this level of precision, Cree has some of the smallest bins in the industry, which ensures that you experience the least amount of variation possible.

Cree also practices tight binning processes by dominant wavelengths for color LEDs. For both colors and whites, Cree can match with precision now and at a later date when you require more LEDs.

ENERGY STAR® Standards

Cree's bins for neutral and warm white LEDs, as well as for some cool white LEDs, are binned to ENERGY STAR standards. Now you can design environmentally friendly products with confidence.
